Very bad service

I visit the bay time to time at my convenience,what I noticed is for a long time the esclators are out of service.There is no wonder the bay store has difficulty showing profit growth.if you have hard time of solving the problems of esclators and elevators how on earth you would be able to compete with other companies to stay in business?pay attention to what the customers say.The Fairview mall is managed so bad it is going to abyss.

The worst consumer service ever. Simple ask to change my email address in my account become a nightmare. My reward points and money are gone, my account is impossible to use, the associates on the phone are rude. They don't know what they are doing. Very bad English. Difficult to understand them. On my email request to fix the problem, no one is reacting. Horrible, absolute horrible service.

November 17 I googled The Bay. They advised that they were having a pre Black Friday sale and would open at 7am - your IT staff need to check this. On Friday November 24 I arrived at approximately 8:30am at the Chinook location in Calgary- I parked at the back of the store in handicap parking - the doors there lead to the second floor. When I went in it was to find out that the escalator was not working - worse was that the elevator was also not working. I stopped a staff person and she advised I would have to walk around. With my lack of mobility this is impossible as I use a walker. I did drive to the front of the store (facing McLeod Trail). As usual, there was no handicap parking available. The stores often have escalators and elevators that are out of service. I am 75 years old and the only place I shop is at the Bay; however, as you do not maintain your elevators, this has become impossible due to my Instability. Horrible customer service

I bought a couch from Hudson's Bay with a promised November 4th delivery. Despite being told the pieces were "sitting in a warehouse ready to shipped", I received a second later delivery date of Nov 10. Despite two confirmation texts, the delivery was changed two more times, adding another 14 days to the extra week they'd already added on to the original 6 week wait. When I phoned to find out what was going on, the MANAGER said they couldn't fix anything because of "the holiday". The MANAGER. Remembence Day is not a proper "holiday". It is a bank holiday and fell on a Saturday, which should not have effected her ability to have all the pieces delivered on the same day, since they were supposedly just sitting around waiting to be bought. Furthermore, NO ONE used my correct name despite my reminding 6 different people not to refer to me by my middle name. The second customer service rep was snotty and hostile. He insisted repeatedly the order was not something he could cancel and continously refused to transfer me to a manager. It ended up taking them an hour and 11 mins to resolve the situation to my satisfaction.

HBC- is it high end shop or a dollar shop

I recently purchased two winter jackets from HBC for over $370. I was charged $.0.25 for two plastic bags. This is fine, I do pay for plastic bags at a grocery store, if I need a bag. However, when HBC is projecting themselves as a high class store and your pricing are reflective of it, they need to stop behaving like a grocery or a discount store. It is inconsistent with your market space and bad for your image. When you are charging hundreds of dollars for merchandise, you need to absorb the cost of a plastic bag. If you want to be environmental conscious, provide a cloth bag included in the price.

I got a email from customer service , saying that my gift card and my reward points will be returned in 24 to 48 hours, 48 hours is now over and nothing has changed.I am thoroughly upset with this whole situation.Just keep ringing them up and hope they refund my loss.

On the 28th July, I placed an order, it did not go through Hence My gift card for $603 was used up My Reward points for $244 were used up My account was charged $57 all three have been used and Gift Card and Reward points show a $0 balance. I am a very regular customer, and this is really very upsetting, Now I do not know when they will be reversed, and i will lose the 25% discount which ends on Sunday the 30th. Besides, maybe some items i like might become out of stock. This is very disturbing for me. And i am extremely upset. I called on the 29th evening and spoke to THANDO who told me they will automatically be reversed. BUT WHEN. PLEASE REINSTATE ALL THE AMOUNTS DEDUCTED IMMEDIATELY, Mukesh Anand

No Bed for a month !

I was moving to a new place and I ordered a bed and was told it would be delivered in a week. I slept in a recliner while waiting for the bed..I was contacted on the delivery day and told it would be another week. I borrowed a friend's air mattress and used it for another week. The day of delivery, I took off work to wait for the bed to be delivered... No Delivery. "I "called "customer service" around 4:30 pm only to be told sorry, but your bed will not be delivered for another 3 weeks... there were manufacturing problems. There was no explanation as to why I was not communicated with that day or prior... nor were they willing to compensate in any way... Why did it take 2 weeks to know there was a manufacturing problem? Why was I not told prior to the day I took off work that the bed would not be being delivered? Sooo disappointing for what was a well thought of company. Sad really

The Hudson Bay company advertised 40 times the reward points if purchased on April 27. I spent over $300 and purchased on April 27. My points were not given. The company issued the receipt for April 28, to avoid rewarding 40 times the points. But I received the emailed invoice on April 27. The date stated April 28, but the emailed receipt was received by me on April 27. False advertising. Company NEVER got back to me with the case that was opened.

I bought a pair of shoes online from The Bay on November 5, they shipped it a few days later using Intelcom (another terrible company). As usual, Intelcom failed to deliver the package and it took me a few phone calls for them to finally confirm it was lost in transit.

That was when my nightmare of attempting to get a refund from Hudson's Bay begum. They assure they have issued a refund on November 24 but I'm now pretty sure that is a blunt lie. I tried calling and chatting with them online many times and each interaction gets more frustrating. The agents just repeat a script and each time I get a different story or lie (ie.

that they have escalated the case only to learn on my next call that never happened), and they are unable to actually help you. After almost 2 months of back and forth, I feel disrespected and scammed, and don't think they have any intention of refunding my money.

It's sad to see that a Canadian company that used to have a good reputation has turned into a scam.

Needless to say, avoid if possible to buy anything from Hudson's Bay. This was definitely the last time I give them my money.

NEVER BUY FINAL SALE ITEMS. Company does not take responsibility to ship the advertised item. I ordered socks online from the Hudsons Bay Company. The socks were advertised as one size. I purchased 140 dollars worth. They were a final sale. The delivered product were labeled as 9-11 mens, fitted, measuring 10.5 inches in the foot fitted part, very large. I have spent 4 months with repeated circular emails, frequent promises of responses that have not occurred, and lengthy phone calls where the Bay states that it is a final sale and takes no responsibility for placing the WRONG advertisement and will NOT issue a refund. I have pictures of the original advertisement and the delivered socks unopened (I am happy to post the pictures if there is a way). The extreme run around and disrespect of my time has added significant stress to their initial mistake for which they refuse to take responsibility in spite of demonstrated facts. Order 121224****. Last spoke today with a manager in customer service, who stated that there is no contact that can be given to me within the Hudsons Bay to further pursue this issue.
